Electrical Steel Overview

Sumitomo Canada’s Electrical Steel Department is focused on supplying quality Grain Oriented Electrical Steel (GOES) & Non-oriented Electrical Steel (NOES) products including master coil, slit coil, laminations & finished cores to North American & International markets. We source our steel from first class mills such as Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC) to meet Sumitomo’s high standards to supply consistent high quality products to our customers. Our two affiliated companies, Vicksmetal Company (VMC) & Vicksmetal/Armco Associates (VAA), specialized for electrical steel can satisfy our customer’s demand on the delivery of finished wound cores & slit material requirement on JIT basis.
