SUMITOMO CANADA VANCOUVER OFFICE NON-FERROUS ORES AND METALS DEPT. Sumitomo Canada’s Non-Ferrous Department trades a spectrum of raw materials from metal concentrates to high-purity metals and specialty crystals for the electronics industry. Utilizing Sumitomo’s extensive global network, we seek commodity and niche non-ferrous products from around the world to introduce and supply to other countries. One of our traditional businesses is to serve the North American miners seeking markets in Asia for their base metal and precious metal concentrates. We foster these alliances globally and forge new business relationships by increasing our role as a raw material exporter, as a supplier of mining consumables including reagents and grinding products, and as a provider of door-to-door logistics for raw materials.
We also strive to open new markets for specialty and niche raw materials under development in North America and Japan. These products include very high purities of rare or unusual metals for the electronics industry and next generation specialty crystals used in the high-performance communications and optical industries. Our strength comes from a vast global network capable of sourcing the most competitive or highest-quality product for our customer's needs.
